(If left off the plans and specifications, explain why.) A portion of Brownlee Blvd. was determined in error to have existing caliche base, but was found to have existing asphalt base, requiring Type II repair instead of Type I repair. The discrepan of 86 SY is due to additional paving required to make unforseen connections. How can similar changes be avoided in the future? Both changes could have been avoided by a more thorough investigation of existing facilities in the desi•n -rage.
