STRUCTION OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CONVENTION CENTER, SUB- STANTIAL COPIES OF WHICH ARE ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBITS "A" AND "B", WHICH PROVIDE FOR METAL STORM PANELS AND RELATED ANCHORING PROCEDURES;. APPROPRIATING $14,454 OUT OF THE NO. 209 COMMUNITY CONVEN- TION FACILITY BOND FUND, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 209-76- 1.3, CONVENTION CENTER CONSTRUCTION; AND DECLARING AN EMER- GENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, 1; SECTION 1.' That the City Manager be authorized to execute two.Change Orders to the contract with B -F -W Construction Company for construction of the Corpus Christi Convention Center, substantial copies of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibits "A" and "B", which provide for metal storm panels and related anchoring procedures. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $14,454 out of the No. 209 Community Convention Facility Bond Fund, applicable to Project No. 209-76-1.3, Convention Center Construction. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize execution of the aforesaid Change Orders at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduc- tion but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and(..; that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of November, 1980.
