HomeMy WebLinkAbout15979 ORD - 01/21/1981jkh:1-21-81;lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY BY WARRANTY • DEED THE FOLLOWING: LOT 19, BLOCK 3, SAN PEDRO ADDI- TION TO THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR A CASH CONSIDERATION OF $1750, TO ALVARO AGUIRRE D., ALL AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE WARRANTY DEED, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A"; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to convey by Warranty Deed the property described as Lot 19, Block 3, San Pedro Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, to Alvaro Aguirre D., for a cash consideration of $1,750, all as more fully set forth in the Warranty Deed, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately authorize the execution of the aforesaid deed in order to facilitate the sale of the above described tract or parcel of land creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and neces- sity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force andel effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this thec /4l day of January, 1981. ALVARO AGUIRRE D., the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien is retained, either expressed or implied, has this day sold, and by these presents does GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL and CON- VEY unto the said MR. AGUIRRRE D., all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being sit- uated in the County of Nueces, State of Texas, more partic- ularly described as follows to -wit: Lot Nineteen (19), Block Three (3), San Pedro Addition in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, as shown by map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 1460, Pages 823-825, of the Map Records, Nueces County, Texas. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described pre- mises herein conveyed, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging to the said M R.
