HomeMy WebLinkAbout16008 ORD - 02/04/1981AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 15679 ADOPTING THE 1980-81 BUDGET BY ESTABLISHING THE GOLF CENTER REVENUE FUND, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE FUND SUMMARY, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A", AND APPROPRIATING $203,731.00, BASED ON ESTIMATED FACILITY REVENUES, TO PROVIDE FOR THE OPERA- TION OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI GOLF CENTER FROM FEBRUARY 1, 1981, THROUGH JULY 31, 1981, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That ORDINANCE No. 15679, adopting the 1980-81 Budget for the City of Corpus Christi, be and the same is hereby amended by estab- lishing the Golf Center Revenue Fund, all as more fully set forth in the fund summary, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. That $203,731.00 be appropriated, based on estimated Golf Center revenues, to provide for the operation of the Corpus Christi Golf Center from February 1, 1981, through July 31, 1981. SECTION 3. The necessity to amend the- 1980-81 Budget as hereinabove set forth at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared that such emer- gency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of February, 1981.
