HomeMy WebLinkAbout16029 ORD - 02/11/1981AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $36,672.32 OUT OF VARIOUS BOND FUNDS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF $7,000,000 GENERAL IMPROVE- MENT BONDS, SERIES 1980, SOLD ON NOVEMBER 19, 1980; AND . DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $36,672.32 out of various bond funds as hereinafter set forth for expenses in connection with the sale of $7,000,000 General Improvement Bonds, Series 1980, said sale having been conducted on November 19, 1980, said expenses being as follows: Bond Attorney Financial Advisor Printing official statements Printing bonds Bond rating services - Moody's $ 7,608.33 19,210.74 6,189.75 1,413.50 2,250.00 $ 36,672.32 Fund Bonds Sold Percent Appropriation 220 Street $ 3,850,000 55.00 $ 20,169.77 250 Sanitary Sewer 1,300,000 18.57 6,810.05 291 Park 1,435,000 20.50 7,517,83 295 Storm Sewer 415,000 5.93 2,174.67 $ 7,000,000 100.00 $ 36,672.32 SECTION 2. That the necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove described for expenses in connection with the sale of Series 1980 General Im- provement Bonds creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having re- quested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 1/ day of February, 1981.
