HomeMy WebLinkAbout16121 ORD - 03/18/1981jkh:3-18-81;lst AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3658, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 257, LABOR AND TRADES, BY ADDING NEW POSITION OF CONVENTION CENTER MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, AND AMENDING SECTION 252, CUSTODIAL AND GUARD, OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 3658, BY ADDING TO SAID SECTION A NEW POSITION OF CUSTODIAL SUPERVISOR; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 3658, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 257, Labor and Trades, by adding the following position classification, title and grade: Class Code Class Title Class Grade 861 Convention Center Maintenance Supervisor 25 and by amending Section 252, Custodial and Guard, by adding the following position classification, title and grade: Class Code 211 Class Title Custodial Supervisor Class Grade 18 SECTION 2. The effective date of the above changes shall be from and after the passage of this ordinance. SECTION 3. The necessity to maintain at all times an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi- nance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the % p day of March, 1981.
