HomeMy WebLinkAbout16188 RES - 04/08/1981TEXAS: A RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, That we hereby express the deep gratitude of the people of this community for the courageous and dedicated actions of the countless persons who responded to the public emergency yesterday created by the explosion at the Corpus Christi Public Elevator. Among those who deserve the special recognition and warm thanks of the community are firefighters, ambulance attendants, and police officers from Corpus Christi, helicopter crews and other personnel from the United States Army, Navy, and Coast Guard, fire- fighters from the Refinery Terminal Fire Company, Nueces County Navigation District employees, nurses, doctors and other workers at Memorial and Spohn Hospitals, ambulance attendants from Portland and private ambulance companies, b � the Nueces County Sheriff's office and other law enforcement officers, and numerous other persons from public agencies and private businesses, who helped rescue and care for the injured, and prevented further injury to persons and property.
