HomeMy WebLinkAbout16198 ORD - 04/15/1981h:4 15-81;1st , AN ORDINANCE APPkOPRIATING $19,000 OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND TO SUPPLEMENT $313,200 PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 15918 FOR THE CITY'S SHARE OF ADDI- TIONAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS ON THE McARDLE ROAD IMPROVE- MENTS PROJECT, HOLMES TO CRESCENT STREET (METROPOLITAN HIGHWAY 142) APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220-72-3, McARDLE ROAD, HOLMES DRIVE TO CRESCENT STREET, WHICH IS TO BE i PLACED IN ESCROW WITH THE TEXAS STATE TREASURER, ACCOUNT OF TRUST FUND NO. 927; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $19,000 to supplement the sum of $313,200 previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 15918 for the City's share of additional construc- tion costs on the McArdle Road Improvements Project, Holmes to Crescent Street (Metropolitan Highway 142) applicable to Project No. 220-72-3, McArdle Road, Holmes Drive to Crescent Street, which is to be placed in escrow with the Texas State Treasurer, Account of Trust Fund No. 927. SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove described in order that the City bear its proportionate share of the additional construc- tion costs on the McArdle Road Improvements Project creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the /S-zAday of April, 1981.
