HomeMy WebLinkAbout16283 ORD - 06/03/1981�It nn:o-s-u1;ist of , .0 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 15385, PASSED AND APPROVED ON FEBRUARY 27, 1980 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE SO AS TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS: Segrest Area, Phases A & B 1. Francis, Brannan and Segrest from the Crosstown to South Port, 2. Headley and Heinley from the Crosstown to Morgan, 3. Niagara from Baldwin to 19th, 4. Cleo from Baldwin to Morgan, 5. Crews from Francis to Morgan. AS.HEREIN PROVIDED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: -"SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 15385, passed and approved by the City Council on February 27, 1980, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 3 of said ordinance so as to correct and adjust the assess- ments levied against the abutting property owners for street improvements on the following streets: Segrest Area, Phases A & B 1. Francis, Brannan and Segrest from the Crosstown to South Port, 2. Headley and Heinley from the Crosstown to Morgan, 3. Niagara from Baldwin to 19th, 4. Cleo from Baldwin to Morgan, 5. Crews from Francis to Morgan. as hereinafter provided and as evidenced by the final assessment roll attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately amend Ordinance No. 15385 as herein provided so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against abutting property owners involved in the street improvement project creates a public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor or Council members, having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of i6283 MICROFILMEi. `SEP 27 194 its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of June, 1981. Kennedy Cliff Zarsky the following vote: passed by 16283 the following vote: I FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL SEGREST AREA, PHASES A & B STREET IMPROVEMENTS JUNE 3, 1981 4,- 3\‘97 The Segrest Area Street Improvements shall include improvements to the following streets: 1. Francis, Brannan and Segrest from the Crosstown to South Port, 2. Headley and Heinley from the Crosstown to Morgan, 3. Niagara from Baldwin to 19th, 4. Cleo from Baldwin to Morgan, 5. Crews from Francis to Morgan. These streets shall be constructed by excavationtoa width and depth to permit the laying of a standard curb and gutter section, 6" compacted subgrade, 8" compacted caliche base and_13" or 2" Type "D" Hot Mix Asphaltic pavement. Streets *will be 28' or 38' wide within the existing right-of-way. There will be 4' wide reinforced sidewalks.4" thick and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways as shown on the plans or, where requested by the property owners. The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the latest paving policy ,adopted by the.City. Based on this policy and the low bid price submitted by Isles Construction Company, the assessment rates are as follows: Commercial Propoerties 28' Wide Street, BOC 4" Curb, Gutter & Pavement 6" Curb, Gutter & Pavement Assessment Rates $12.63 per L.F. $12.84 per L.F. 38' Wide Street, BOC 4" Curb, Gutter & Pavement (Bid $20.56) $14.25 per L.F. 6" Curb, Gutter & Pavement (Bid $20.78) $14.25 per L.F.
