HomeMy WebLinkAbout16297 ORD - 06/03/1981AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 15837 AS APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL ON OCTOBER 22, 1980 TO CORRECT THE APPRO- PRIATION FOR CONTRACT AWARD OF $1,490,000.00 AS FOLLOWS: OF THE TOTAL APPROPRIATION,$297,242.38 IS OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND, I $1,O34,469.'64VOUT OF THE NO. 162, FEDERAL/STATES ' 'GRANT FUND, DEPARTMENT 152, ACTIVITY 807.03, CODE 502, FIFTH YEA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT, _jr.L.AND $158,287:98=OUT OF THE NO. 295 STORM SEWER ACV,--, BOND FUND,FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CABANISS ACRES EXTENSION PRO- JECT APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 295-77-9 CABANISS ACRES EXTENSION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 15837, approved by the City Council on October 22, 1980, be and the same is hereby amended to correct the appro- priation for contract award of $1,490,000 to W. T. Young Construction Company as follows: Of the total appropriation, $297,242.38 is out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund, $1,034,469.64 out of the No. 162 Federal/States Grant Fund, Department 152, Activity 807.03, Code 502, Fifth Year Community Development Block Grant, and $158,287.98 out of the No. 295 Storm Sewer Bond Fund for the construction of Storm Sewer Improvements in the Cabaniss Acres Extension Project applicable to Project No. 295-77-9 Cabaniss Acres Extension. SECTION 2. The necessity to amend the aforesaid ordinance set forth hereinabove at the earliest practicable date creates a public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor or Council members, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the -3 day of June, 1981.
