AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CORPUS CHIRSTI CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES,
1976 REVISION, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 36-6
OF CHAPTER 36, PARKS, RECREATION, CULTURAL AND
LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, SO AS TO PROHIBIT SMOKING
IN THE DINING ROOM OF THE LINDALE SENIOR CENTER
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, the ;Senior Community Services Advisory Council has
given due consideration to the banning of smoking at Lindale Senior Center,
has provided the participants at the Center with the opportunity to comment
on the ban, and recommends that such a policy be established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Corpus Christi City Code of Ordinances 1976
Revision, as amended, be amended by amending Section 36-6 of Chapter 36,
PARKS, RECREATION, CULTURAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, as follows:
A. Amend the caption of Section 36-6 to hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 36-6. Smoking in Corpus Christi Museum and Other Desig-
nated Public Recreation Areas Prohibited."
B. Add a new subsection (c) to hereafter read as follows:
"(c) That smoking between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
at Lindale Center dining room is hereby prohibited."
C. Renumber the present subsection (c) as subsection (d).
