HomeMy WebLinkAbout16367 ORD - 07/01/1981�. jkh:7-1-81;lst 41, AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 36-9, SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM REGISTRATION FEES, OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, 1976 REVISION, AS AMENDED; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 36-9 of the Corpus Christi City Code, 1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby repealed in its entirety. SECTION 2. That the provisions of this ordinance take effect - and be in full force and effect from and after its passage. SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption of this ordinance. "Media attention shall be obtained through appropriate press releases and- notices shall be posted at each of the summer recreation sites. SECTION 4. The necessity to repeal the aforesaid provisions of the Corpus Christi City Code pertaining to summer recreation program registration fees, creates an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor or Council members, having declared that such necessity exists, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 1st day of July, 1981.
