HomeMy WebLinkAbout16386 RES - 07/15/1981is:07-13-81;lst A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF PAUL WERNER TO THE POSITION OF GENERAL WATER SUPERINTENDENT BY THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT OT CITY CHARTER ARTICLE II, SECTION 3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Paul Werner appointed to the position of General Water Superintendent by the City Manager, pursuant to City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. -SECTION 2. The necessity for confirming the appointment of Paul Werner as promptly as possible creates a public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor -or Council members, having declared such necessity to exist, having requested that the Charter rule be suspended and that this resolution be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO RESOLVED, this the /5 day of July , 1981.
