HomeMy WebLinkAbout16397 ORD - 07/22/1981sp;7/21/81;lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $32,000 OUT OF THE NO. 162 FEDERAL STATE GRANT FUND AS FOLLOWS: $20,000 OUT OF THIRD YEAR COM- MUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT DEPARTMENT 152, ACTIVITY 807.01, CODE 502 AND $12,000 OUT OF FIFTH YEAR COMMU- NITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT DEPARTMENT 152, ACTIVITY 807.03, CODE 502 TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THE 291 PARK BOND FUND APPLICABLE TO THE BEN GARZA AND T.C. AYERS REHA- BILITATION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 291-77-4.11; AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $32,000 out of the No. 162 Federal State Grant Fund as follows: $20,000 out of Third Year Community Development Block Grant Department 152, Activity 807.01, Code 502 and $12,000 out of Fifth Year Community Development Block Grant Department 152, Activity 807.03, Code 502 to be transferred to the 291 Park Bond Fund applicable to the Ben Garza and T.C. Ayers Rehabilitation Project, Project No. 291-77-4.11. SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove set out so that the improvements to the Ben Garza and T.C. Ayers Rehabilitation Project can be made at the earliest practicable date creates a public neces- sity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or reso- lution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor or Council members, having declared that such neces- sity exists, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 22— day of July, 1981.
