HomeMy WebLinkAbout16431 ORD - 07/29/1981sp;7/29/81;lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $23,473.50 OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE NO. 102-901-521.99-499 TO THE MARINA FUND 268-532.11-502 WHICH REPRESENTS THE CITY'S 25 PER- CENT SHARE THAT MUST BE EXPENDED FOR HURRICANE ALLEN DAMAGE TO THE MARINA IN THE AMOUNT OF $93,894.00 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE FEMA 75 PERCENT SHARE IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,420.50; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Appropriating $23,473.50 out of the General Fund Reserve No. 102-901-521.99-499 to the Marina Fund 268-532.11-520 which rep- resents the City's 25 percent share that must be expended for Hurricane Allen damage to the Marina in the amount of $93,894.00 in order to receive the FEMA 75 percent share in the amount of $70,420.50. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for preserving public property by appropriating the sums herein described in order to expedite construction of necessary improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular ' meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this 241 day of July, 1981.
