HomeMy WebLinkAbout16433 ORD - 07/29/19817/27/81;mb;lst r • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3658, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 250 CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR ALL POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE, BY ESTABLISHING AND BY CHANG- ING CERTAIN POSITION TITLES, CODES AND CLASS GRADES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; PROVIDING EFFECTIVE DATES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Subsection 257 Labor and Trades be further amended by reclassifying and changing the title of the following positiony effective September 21, 1981: Class Code Class Title Class Grade 786 From: Wastewater Plant Maintenance Supervisor From: 25 To: Wastewater Heavy Maintenance Supervisor To: 27 SECTION 3. That Subsection 253 Engineering and Sciences be amended by removing the position class title and grade from Subsection 253 and adding the same to Subsection 257 Labor and Trades with the title change and class code, effective July 27, 1981, as follows: Class Code Class Title LC1assJGrade From: 329 From: Instrument Man 18 To: 849 To: Instrument Man I 18 SECTION 4. That Subsection 253 Engineering and Sciences be amended by removing from Subsection 253 the position class, title, and grade and c adding the same to Subsection 257, effective September 21, 1981, as follows: Class Code From: 175 To: 851 Class Title Right -of -Way Cleaning Supervisor Class Grade From: 22 To: 24' SECTION 7. That Subsection 251 General Administrative and Clerical be amended by reclassifying the following position, effective July 27, 1981: Class Code 179 Class Title .Class"=Grade Senior Principal Clerk -Collector From: 17 To: 19 SECTION 8. That Subsection 254 Fiscal and Accounting be amended by adding the following positions, titles and grades, effective July 27, 1981: Class Code Class Title Class Grade 435 436 Assistant Chief Accountant Senior Auditor 32 32 SECTION 9. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivi- sion, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivi- sion, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 10. The effective date of the above changes shall be as set forth hereinabove. SECTION 11. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for maintaining efficient administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or reso- lutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take fect upon first reading as an emergency measure this 2? day of , 1981.
