APPEARING OF RECORD IN VOLUME 9, PAGES 565, ET SEQ, OF THE ORDINANCE AND RESOLUTION RECORDS, AS AMENDED FROM TIME TO TINE AND PARTICULARLY AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 6106, AS AMENDED, UPON APPLICATION -OF LANTANA CORPORATION BY AMENDING THE ZONING MAP BY CHANGING THE ZONING ON TRACT A AND TRACT B OF BLOCK 4, J.C. RUSSELL FARM BLOCKS SITUATED IN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM "I-2" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL AND "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT ON TRACT A; AND "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND "A-2" APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT ON TRACT B TO "I-3" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT ON TRACT 'A ANL "I-2" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT ON TRACT B; KEEPING IN EFFECT ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF THE EXIST- ING ORDINANCE AS AMENDED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission -bas forwarded to the City Council =its r-epor"ts_and_recomnendations concerning the application of Lantana Corporation -- for amendment to the zoning map of the-Cityo"f-Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to -appear and. be heard were heard, to consider the same brfore_the --City Council of the City of -Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice _ to-the_pubTic, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday. _ " -- July 29, 1981 , at Special Council Meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of -Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded'and carried, it was. -decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter"set forth amendment would, bestserve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, -BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY -OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: --- SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed on the 27th day of August, 1937, appearing of record - in Volume 9, Pages 565, et seq, of the Ordinance and Resolution Records, as amended from time to time, and in particular as amended by Ordinance No. 6106, as amended, be and the same is -hereby amended by making the change hereinafter set out. Russell Farm Blocks, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be and the same is hereby changed from "I-2" Light Indus- trial and "B-4" General Business District on Tract A,_and "B-4" General Business District and "A-2" Apartment House District on Tract B to "I-3" Heavy Industrial District on Tract A and "I-2" Light Industrial District on Tract B. TRACT A FIELDNOTE DESCRIPTION of a 12.2051 acre, more -or less; tract -of land being a portion of Lot 1, Block 4, J. C. Russell Farm Blocks, as shown by plat recorded =; , in Volume 28, Pages 58 & 59, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said -tract being.: more particularly described as follows: - COMMENCING at the southeast corner of Lot 2, -said Block 4, said point -being at the intersection of the north right-of-way line of Bear Lane (platted Kosar Road) with the west right-of-way line of Flato Road; - THENCE, NORTH, along right-of-way line of THENCE, N 89° 59' 03" said Lots 1 and 2, in east corner and POINT the common east boundary line of said Lot-2.and the west-- Flato Road, 749.89 feet to_a-point for reference;. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of, Corpus - Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained.__ SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance.and flap of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day -of August,.l937, as -amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and. - effect. SECTION 5. That all -ordinances or -parts of ordinances -in conflict` herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6.
