AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, 1976 REVISION,
AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION (9) TO SECTION
55-70 TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN WATER TAP FEES
FOR TAPS IN STREETS AND EASEMENTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
OF THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, due to the increased cost of the installation and
materials incorporated in making connections, which is not reflected in
the initial tap fees set out in Ordinance No. 4563 and Ordinance No. 5723,
it is -necessary to amend said ordinance as hereinafter set out:
NOW THEREFORE, BEITORDAINED BY -THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Corpus Christi City Code, 1976 Revision, as
amended, be amended by adding a new subsection, (9), to Section 55-70 to
provide -for an increase in water tap fees -for taps in streets and easements
inside and outside of the city limits of the City of Corpus Christi, said
subsection (9) to -hereafter read as follows:

SECTION -2. _Ai Ffees_are to be -adjusted on September 1 each year
to --conform with the Construction index as published in the August addition
-of Engineering -New Record.
SECTION 3. --All ordinances or parts -of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly -repealed.
SECTION -4. -This ordinance shall take effect and all fees set out
herein shall be -collectible -on and after the 12th day of August, 1981.
