HomeMy WebLinkAbout16458 RES - 08/12/1981mb;8/10/81;lst A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF JAMES PETERS TO THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC UTILITIES BY THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT TO CITY CHARTER ARTI- CLE III, SECTION 3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the appointment of James Peters to the position of Assistant Director of Publdc Utilities by the City Manager, pursuant to City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for maintaining efficient administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances, or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this resolution is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this /p? day of August, 1981.
