AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 14936, THE AID AMBULANCE SERVICE
RATE ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NOS. 15886 AND
16069, SO AS TO AMEND SECTION 1 (A) TO PROVIDE FOR AN
INCREASE IN BASE RATES; AMENDING SECTION 1 (B) BY ADDING
A SUBPARAGRAPH 5 TO PROVIDE FOR CHARGE FOR WAITING TIME;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 14936, the AID Ambulance Service
Rate ordinance, as amended by Ordinance Nos. 15886 and 16069, be amended
so as to amend Section 1 (A) to hereafter read as follows:
"A. Base Rates
(1) Completed AID Ambulance service runs, emergency and non-
emergency, within the City - $60.00.
(2) Completed AID Ambulance service runs, emergency and
non -emergency, outside the City, but within Nueces County
$75.00.
(3) AID Ambulance runs within the City requiring first aid
at the scene and non -transport - $10.00.
(4) AID Ambulance runs outside the City, but within Nueces
County, requiriang first aid at the scene and non -transport -
$15.00.
SECTION 2. That Section 1 (B) be amended by adding a new subparagraph,
to be number (5), reading as follows:
"(5) Waiting Time $10.00 for every 15 minutes or portion thereof
beyond the first 15 minutes. Waiting time is defined as
time during which treatment, care or transportation is not
being provided by the ambulance attendant."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective from and after
August 25, 1981
