AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, SECTION 53-257,
SCHEDULE VIII. PARKING METER ZONES ESTABLISHED, BY DE-
LETING FROM SUBSECTION (a) METER ZONE NO. 1 ITEM (10)
WHICH PROVIDES FOR MAXIMUM PARKING OF TEN HOURS ON
MIDDLE BROADWAY FROM ANTELOPE STREET TO BUFFALO STREET
AND TRANSFERRING THE ITEM TO SUBSECTION (b) METER ZONE
NO. 2 WHICH PROVIDES FOR PARKING FROM 30 MINUTES FOR
FIVE CENTS UP TO TWO HOURS FOR TWENTY CENTS OR ONE
QUARTER COIN; AMENDING SUBSECTION (e) OF METER ZONE
NO. 5, ITEM (4) TO PROVIDE FOR MAXIMUM PARKING OF
THIRTY MINUTES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF ANTELOPE STREET,
THE EAST ONE-HALF OF THE BLOCK FROM NORTH UPPER BROAD-
WAY TO NORTH CARANCHUA STREET; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; PRO-
VIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Corpus
Christi, as amended, be amended by amending Section 53-257, Schedule VIII.
Parking meter zones established, by deleting from subsection (a) Meter
Zone No. 1 item (10) which provides for maximum parking of ten hours on
Middle Broadway from Antelope Street to Buffalo Street.
SECTION 2. That subsection (b) Meter Zone No. 2 be amended by
adding as item (10) the following, to provide for parking from 30 minutes
for five cents up to two hours for twenty cents or one quarter coin:
(10) Middle Broadway - Antelope Street to Buffalo Street.
SECTION 3. That subsection (3) Meter Zone No. 5 be amended by
amending item (4) to hereafter read as follows:
(4) Antelope Street - (north side only)
of block, from North Upper Broadway
Caranchua Street.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.

SECTION 5. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction
it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,

phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent
of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its pur-
pose.
SECTION 6. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption of this
ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
SECTION 7. The provisions hereinabove set forth shall become
effective from and after installation of meters with meter zone designations
at the respective locations.
