OO MUNITY CONVENTION FACILITY BOND FUND FOR PROJECT
209-76-1.3, CONVENTION CENTER E UIPMENT, ANO AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF CONVENTION CENTER FY?UIPMENT AS SHOWN ON
EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED HERETO; AND DE'C'LARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
'Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sumof $12,573.00
out of the Community Convention Facility Bond Fund for Project 209-76-1.3, Con-
vention Center Equipment, for purchase of equipment described on Exhibit "A".
Section 2. The necessity to appropriate the stmt hereinabove described
in order to purchase operating equipment to neet future commitments and to comply
with Fire Department regulations at the Bayfront Plaza Convention Center, creates
a public emergency, and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension
of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on
the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such.
emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the
Charter Rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction and take effect and be in full force and effect
IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 9 day of

an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
