HomeMy WebLinkAbout16551 ORD - 09/23/1981sp;9/28/81;2d AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16428 WHICH ADOPTED THE 1981-82 BUDGET, BY ADDING ONE INSPECTOR I AND ONE CLERK II POSITIONS IN ENGINEERING & PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT DEPART- MENT, CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION ACTIVITY 241-517.23 FOR A PERIOD OF 30 MONTHS AT A COST OF $80,018, WHICH FUNDS WERE PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 16522; TRANSFERRING FROM THE WATER FUND RESERVE INTO ACTIVITY 241-517.23 THE AMOUNT OF $24,570 FOR THE PERIOD OF NOVEMBER 1, 1981, THROUGH JULY 31, 1982, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 16428 which adopted the 1981-82 budget be amended by adding one Inspector I and one Clerk II positions in Engineering & Physical Development Department, Construction Inspection Activity 241-517.23 for a period of 30 months at a cost of $80,018, which funds were previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 16522. SECTION 2. That there is hereby authorized a transfer from the Water Fund Reserve into Construction Inspection Activity 241-517.23 the following amounts for the period of November 1, 1981, through July 31, 1982: Personnel Services 101 Salaries -Regular $18,401 109 Retirement 2,484 Materials and Supplies 243 Minor Office Equipment 244 Office Supplies • $ 85 500 $20,885 585 Capital Outlay 506 Other Equipment $ 3,100(1) 3,100 $24,570 (1) Capital outlay includes one secretarial desk ($450), one typewriter ($1000), three file cabinets ($750), one cal- culator ($200), one drafting table with stool ($700) The General Fund will be reimbursed for construction inspection services from the Water Construction Fund until the project is completed. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or Five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need of maintaining efficient administration of City affairs in regard to the inspec- tion services during the expansion of the 0. N.
