AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $455,000 OUT OF THE NO. 205 WATER SYSTEM
BOND CONSTRUCTION FUND, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO.
205-81-2, PURCHASE OF REYNOLDS WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN,
FOR THE ESTIMATED COST OF PURCHASING A 20 -INCH AND 24 -
INCH DIAMETER WATER MAIN EXTENDING BETWEEN THE CUNNING -
HAM WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND THE REYNOLDS METALS PLANT
NEAR INGLESIDE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $455,000 out of the
No. 205 Water System Bond Construction Fund, applicable to Project No.
205-81-2, Purchase of Reynolds Water Transmission Main, for the estimated
cost of purchasing a 20 -inch and 24 -inch diameter water main extending be-
tween the Cunningham Water Treatment Plant and the Reynolds Metals Plant
near Ingleside.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need of
appropriating funds so that the City's option to purchase the Reynolds water
transmission main may be exercised at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions
at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this 30 day of
September, 1981.

introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
