AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF LAND AND BUILDINGS FROM
N. E. NORTON AND DORIS NORTON, LOCATED AT 4510 CORONA
DRIVE, CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, TO BE USED AS A POLICE
TRAINING FACILITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATED TO SUCH PUR-
CHASE; AND APPROPRIATING A TOTAL OF $522,768.80 OUT OF
266 POLICE BUILDING BOND FUND, PROJECT 266-81-1 POLICE
TRAINING FACILITY, OF WHICH $520,000 IS FOR ACQUISITION
AND $2,768.80 IS FOR CLOSING COSTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to execute all necessary documents related to the purchase of land and
buildings from N. E. Norton and Doris Norton, located at 4510 Corona Drive,
Corpus Christi, Texas, to be used as a police training facility.
SECTION 2. That a total of $522,768.80 be appropriated out of
266 Police Building Bond Fund, Project 266-81-1 Police Training Facility, of
which $520,000 is for acquisition of such facility and $2,768.80 is for
incidental costs related to closing.
SECTION 3. That the foregoing authorization and appropriation is
contingent upon the issuance and sale of Certificates of Obligation, Series
1981, in the amount of $470,000 as authorized by Ordinance No. /4447,
passed and approved by the City Council on October 28, 1981.

the contract, agreement, obligation or expenditures contemplated in the above

seconded that the Ordinance au orizing the purchase of land and building
from N. E. Norton and Doris Norton, located at 4510 Corona Drive, Corpus
Christi, Texas to be used as a police training facility, authorizing the
City Manager to execute all necessary documents related to such purchase,
and appropriating a total of $522,768.80 out of No. 266 Police Bond Fund,
past on first reading on October 7, 1981, be amended as follows:
1. By amending the Ordinance to add new Section 3 to
read as follows:
"That the foregoing authorization and appropriation
is contingent upon the issuance and sale of Certifi-
cates of Obligation, Series 1981, in the amount of
Four hundred seventy thousand dollars ($470,000.00)
as authorized by Ordinance No. passed and approved
by the City Council on October 28, 1981."
