AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
1976 REVISION, AS AMENDED, AND PARTICULARLY AMENDING
SECTION 53-253 SCHEDULE IV, "STOPPING, STANDING OR PARK-
ING PROHIBITED DURING CERTAIN HOURS ON CERTAIN STREETS",
BY ADDING THERETO ITEMS WHICH WILL HAVE THE EFFECT OF
PROHIBITING STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING DURING CERTAIN
HOURS ON PORTIONS OF GLENDALE DRIVE AND MANHATTAN DRIVE;
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Corpus Christi City Code, as amended, be and
the same is hereby amended by adding the following items under Section 53-253,
"STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING PROHIBITED DURING CERTAIN HOURS ON CERTAIN
STREETS", which items will
hereafter read as follows:
HOURS, STOPPING, STANDING
OR PARKING PROHIBITED
Between 8:00 a.m. and
10:30 a.m. on school days
only
NAME OF STREET
Glendale Drive, 100 block
both sides of the street,
from Baldwin Blvd. to 18th
Street.
Manhattan Drive. both sides
of the street, from Weber Rd.
to Bahama Dr.
Between 9:00 a.m. and
3:00 p.m. on school days
only
SECTION 2. Publicationshall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi, by publishing the caption of
this ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or un-
constitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of the
City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
