AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 15595, PASSED AND APPROVED ON
JUNE 18, 1980, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDIN-
ANCE SO AS TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS:
Lamar School Area, Unit II
(1) Marguerite Street, from South Port Avenue to
19th Street
(2) 20th and Bluntzer Streets, from Mary Street
to Agnes Street;
(3) 21st Street, from Ruth Street to Agnes Street
(4) Muely Street, from Ruth Street to Mary Street;
(5) 25th Street, from Morgan to Mary Street;.
(6) 22nd and 23rd Streets, from Buford Street to
Mary Street,
AS HEREIN PROVIDED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 15595, passed and approved on
June 18, 1980, be amended by amending Section 3 of said ordinance so as to
adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against abutting prop-
erty owners on the following streets:
Lamar School Area, Unit II
(1) Marguerite Street, from South Port Avenue to
19th Street;
(2) 20th and Bluntzer Streets, from Mary Street
to Agnes Street;
(3) 21st Street, from Ruth Street to Agnes Street;
(4) Muely Steet, from Ruth Street to Mary Street;
(5) 25th Street, from Morgan to Mary Street;
(6) 22nd and 23rd Streets, from Buford Street to
Mary Street.
as more fully described in the corrected and adjusted assessment roll, a
substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by amendment of the final assessment
roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requir-
ing suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordin-
ances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is

passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this

an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is.
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
