HomeMy WebLinkAbout16711 ORD - 11/18/1981lt;11/16/81;lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL SUBMITTED BY THE INTERNATIONAL AERIAL MAPPING COM- PANY OF SAN ANTONIO TO PROVIDE AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE DAHLIA TERRACE, BALDWIN PARK, PINEDA PARK AND BROADMOOR PARK AREAS OF THE CITY IN PREPARA- TION FOR WATERLINE REHABILITATION; APPROPRIATING $13,200 OUT OF THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATES GRANT FUND, DEPARTMENT 152, ACTIVITY 807.05, CODE 502 (7TH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT); AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION(1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to accept the proposal submitted by the International Aerial Mapping Company of San Antonio to provide aerial photographs of the Dahlia Terrace, Baldwin Park, Pineda Park and Broadmoor Park Areas of the City in prepara- tion for waterline rehabilitation. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $13,200 out of the No. 162 Federal/States Grant Fund, Department 152, Activity 807.05, Code 502 (7th Year Community Development Block Grant), for the aforesaid aerial photographs. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for preserving and improving public property by executing the above contract and expediting construction of necessary improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first off reading as an emergency measure this the/ day of November, 1981.
