AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER
NO. 3 TO THE CONTRACT WITH ISLES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN THE NUECES
COUNTY COURTHOUSE AREA WHICH PROVIDES FOR DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE WASHINGTON-COLES AREA; APPRO-
PRIATING $16,594.75 OUT OF THE NO. 162 FEDERAL/STATES
GRANT FUND, DEPARTMENT NO. 152, ACTIVITY 807.04,
CODE 502 (6TH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT);
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby author-
ized to execute Change Order No. 3 to the contract with Isles Construction
Company for construction of street improvements in the Nueces County
Courthouse Area which provides for drainage improvements in the Washington -
Coles Area, a substantial copy of which Change Order is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$16,594.75 out of the No. 162 Federal/States Grant Fund, Department No.
152, Activity 807.04, Code 502 (6th Year Community Development Block
Grant).
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five
Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to
the need for efficient administration of City affairs by execution of
the above Change Order and expediting construction of the needed improve-
ments, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension
of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or
resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed
and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the day of December, 1981.

7. Install 144 L.F. of 18" R.C.P. at $ 25.00/L.F.
8. Install 288 L.F. of 24" R.C.P. at $ 32.50/L.F.
