HomeMy WebLinkAbout16794 RES - 12/30/19812/31/81 ;1st A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION OF $120,695.00 WORTH OF EQUIPMENT FOR USE AT THE RECENTLY ACQUIRED POLICE SHARP SHOOTER RANGE AT 4510 CORONA; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi has recently acquired a police training facility at 4510 Corona, Corpus Christi, Texas, pursuant to Ordinances 16627 and 16628, passed and approved by the City Council on October 28, 1981; and WHEREAS, Mr. N. E. Norton and Mrs. Doris Norton, the previous owners of said facility, now desire to donate to the City of Corpus Christi $120,695.00 worth of equipment for use at the aforesaid facility or in any other manner which the City deems appropriate; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi desires to accept such donation of equipment: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and hereby authorized to accept the donation of the equipment set forth in the attached Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. That, by this Resolution, the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi hereby expresses its appreciation to Mr. N. E. Norton and Mrs. Doris Norton for the donation of such equipment for use by the City of Corpus Christi. PASSED AND APPROVED this 30th day of December, 1981.
