PEARSON TO THE POSITION OF LIBRARY DIRECTOR BY THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT TO CITY CHARTER ARTICLE III, SECTION 3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the appointment of Roger L. Pearson to the posi- tion of Library Director by the City Manager, pursuant to City Charter Arti- cle III, Section 3, effective April 1, 1982, is hereby confirmed. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Coun- cil members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for maintaining efficient administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances, or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this resolution is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure thtare day of February, 1982.
