AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $26,689.00 OUT OF THE 209 COMMUNITY
CONVENTION FACILITY BOND FUND FOR PROJECT NO.
209-76-1.3 CONVENTION CENTER EQUIPMENT, FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A TENNANT 92AA RIDE -ON POWER SWEEPER
FROM THE G.H. TENNANT COMPANY, FOR THE BAYFRONT
PLAZA CONVENTION CENTER; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$26,689.00 out of the Community Convention Facility Bond Fund for Project
No. 209-76-1.3, Convention Center Equipment, for the purchase of a Tennant
92AA ride -on power sweeper from the G.H. Tennant Company.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need of
appropriating the aforesaid sum so that a sweeper can be purchased for the
Convention Center before there is a manufacturer's price increase, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions
at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the3fie day of
February, 1982.

an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting

suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
