AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY BY SPECIAL WARRANTY
DEED TO BERNARDO VERA AND WIFE, EMMA VERA, A PARCEL OF LAND
OUT OF LOT 12, BLOCK 16, MEADOW PARK ADDITION, IN THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR A CASH CONSID-
ERATION OF $2,550, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE SPECIAL
WARRANTY DEED, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO.
AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A"; AND DECLARING AN -
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to convey by special warranty deed to Bernardo Vera and wife, Emma Vera, for
a cash consideration of $2,550, a parcel of land out of Lot 12, Block 16,
Meadow Park Addition, in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas,
more particularly described as follows:
Being a triangularly shaped tract of land out of Lot 12,
Block 16, Meadow Park Addition, a subdivision shown by
Map of Record in Volume 4, Page 52, Map Records, Nueces
County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point being the southwest corner of said
Lot 12;
Thence N. 2 degrees 16 E., along the west property line
of said Lot 12, -to a point on the south right-of-way
of Huron Street;
Thence S. 72 degrees 44' 30" W., 149.60 feet to a point
on the common lot line of Lot 11 and Lot 12;
Thence S. 87 degrees 44' W., along said common line, 141.00
feet to the point of beginning and containing 0.081 acres,
more or less.
SECTION 2. That upon.written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by the sale of the hereinabove
described parcel of land, surplus to the needs of the City, such finding of
an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as
to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first
reading as an emergency measure this the //day of February, 1982.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF NUECES
That the City of Corpus Christi, hereinafter called Grantor, for and
in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Five hundred Fifty Dollars
and no cents ($2,550.00) to Grantor in hand paid by
Mr. Bernardo Vera and wife, Emma Vera,
.the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien is
retained, either expressed or implied, has this day sold, and by these
presents does GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL and CONVEY unto the said
Mr. Bernardo Vera and wife, Emma Vera,
all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in
the County of Nueces, State of Texas, more particularly described as
follows to -wit:
Being a triangularly shaped tract of land out of Lot 12,
Block 16, Meadow Park Addition, a subdivision shown by
Map of Record in Volume 4, Page 52, Map Records, Nueces
County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point being the southwest corner of said
Lot 12;
Thence N. 20 16' E., along the west property line of
said Lot 12, to a point on the south right-of-way of
Huron Street;
Thence S. 72° 44' 30" W., 149.60 feet to a point on the
common lot line of Lot 11 and Lot 12;
Thence S. 87' 44' W., along said common line, 141.00
feet to the point of beginning and containing 0.081
acres, more or less.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above des-
cribed premises herein conveyed, together with all and singular the
rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging to the said
Mr. Bernardo Vera and wife, Emma Vera,
his (her) (their) heirs and assigns, forever, and Grantor does hereby
bind itself, its successors and assigns, to warrant and forever de-
fend all and singular the said premises herein conveyed against every
person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part
thereof, by, through, or under Grantor, but not otherwise.
