AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8127, THE COMPENSATION/CLASSIFI-
CATION PLAN, BY AMENDING SECTION 510, ADMINISTRATIVE,
EXECUTIVE, PROFESSIONAL, AND LABORERS, BY RECLASSIFYING
THE SALARY GRADE FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL/CIVIL
SERVICE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 8127, the Compensation/Classification
Plan, be amended by amending Section 510, Administrative, Executive,
Professional and Laborers, by reclassifying the following position title
and grade:

SECTION 2. These provisions shall become effective and take
effect from and after the passage of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five
Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to
the need for efficient administration of City affairs by making the change
in classification a's hereinabove set forth, such finding of an emergency
is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this o:2 day of February, 1982.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
