HomeMy WebLinkAbout16897 ORD - 02/24/1982mb;12/29/81;4t AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A 26.93 -ACRE TRACT IN CONNECTION WITH FUTURE EXPANSION OF THE O.N. STEVENS WATER TREATMENT PLANT, PROJECT NO. 205- 81-4; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 205 WATER SYSTEM BOND FUND THE SUM OF $428,500, OF WHICH $426,000 IS FOR ACQUISITION AND $2,500 IS FOR INCIDENTAL COSTS RELATED TO CLOSING; AND DECLARIN AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be au:horized to execute documents necessary for the acquisition of a 26.93 - acre tract of land in conection with future expansion of the 0. N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant, Project No. 1:6-81-4, said parcel or tract being more particularly described as follows: Being an irregularly shaped tract of and out of Tract 6, Westbrook Heights Annex, as recorded by Map of Record in Volume 30, Page 10, Nueces County,Texas; Beginning at the south corner of said Tract 6; Thence N. 330 42' W., along the northerly right-of-way of 60 foot wide Hearn Road, a distance of 96.97 feet to a point; Thence N. 340 33' E., 1,085.63 feet to a point for an interior corner; Thence N. 55' 27' W., 208.00 feet to a Thence N. 340 northern most Thence S. 540 of a circular point; 33' E., 887.20 feet to a point or the corner of this tract; 47' E., 560.13 feet to a point on the arc curve to the right; Thence along the arc of said curve whose angle = 16° 08' 40", R — 2,831.91 feet, T = 401.64 feet, a distance of 797.96 feet to the point of tangency; Thence S. 20° 58' 30" W., 364.60 feet to the p int of curvature of a circular curve to the left; Thence along the arc of said curve, whose angl 55' 47", T = 100.04 feet, R = 2,915.95 feet, a of 200.00 feet to a point; Thence N. 730 54 W., 472.10 feet to a point f r an interior corner; = 03° distance Thence S. 50° W., 300.00 feet to a point; SE? 2i MICROVIttg. 16897 Thence S. 750 W., 200.00 feet to a point; Thence S. 56° 18' W., 100.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 26.93 acres, more or less. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 205 Water System Bond Fund the sum of $428,500, of which $426,000 is for acquisition of the aforesaid parcel or tract and $2,500 is for incidental costs relaled to closing. SECTION 3. That upon written request df the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find .ind declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by authorizing acquisition of the aforesaid described tract or parcel, such finding of an eme made and declared requiring suspension of the Cha as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or gency is ter rule resolu- tions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emer- gency measure this the 30th day of December, 1981 ATTEST: AO' --Cit Secretary MAYOR ‘0Y.
