HomeMy WebLinkAbout16901 ORD - 02/24/1982lw;2-22-82;lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER , NO. 4 TO THE CONTRACT WITH SOUTHERN FOOD EQUIPMENT, INC., FOR INSTALLATION OF KITCHEN AND CONCESSION EQUIPMENT AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI CONVENTION CENTER (THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A HOT WATER HEATER AND WATER SOFTENER IN THE KITCHEN) A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF SAID CHANGE ORDER BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A"; APPROPRIATING $9,025 OUT OF THE NO. 209 CONVENTION FACILITY BOND FUND FOR THE AFORESAID CHANGE ORDER, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 209- 76-1.4, CONVENTION CENTER EQUIPMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change No. 4 to the contract with Southern Food Equipment, Inc., for purchase and installation of a hot water heater and water softener in the kitchen at the Corpus Christi Convention Center, a substantial copy of which change order is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A. SECTION 2. That there is hereby approprigWd-Dout of the No. 209 Convention Facility Bond Fund the sum of $9,025 for the above described change order, applicable to Project No. 209-76-1.4 Convention Center Equipment. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by executing the change order aforesaid and appropriation of sums necessalii therefor, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 24 day of:February, 1982.
