AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CONDUCTING OF A QUALITY ASSURANCE
AUDIT AS RECOMMENDED BY THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION
ADMINISTRATION IN RELATION TO THE PURCHASE OF TEN
TRANSIT BUSES, AS PROVIDED IN THE 1981 UMTA CAPITAL
GRANT PROJECT NO. TX -05-0073; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE
NO. 218 TRANSIT BOND FUND FOR PROJECT NO. 218-77-2,
TRANSIT SYSTEM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS (1981), THE AMOUNT
OF $5,500 FOR SAID AUDIT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby given for conducting a
quality assurance audit as recommended by the Urban Mass Transportation Adminis-
tration in relation to the purchase of ten transit buses, as provided in the
1981 UMTA Capital Grant Project No. TX -05-0073.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the 218 Transit
Bond Fund for Project No. 218-77-2, Transit System Capital, Improvements (1981),
the amount of $5,500 for the payment of said audit.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by authorizing the audit and providing
the sums necessary therefor, all as set forth hereinabove, such finding of an
eMergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings
so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the 41 day of February, 1982.
