AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER
NO. 3 TO THE CONTRACT WITH GOLDSTON CORPORATION FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONAL BOAT SLIPS AT THE CORPUS
CHRISTI MARINA TO PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL ELECTRICAL AND
LIGHTING WORK, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH CHANGE ORDER
IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT
"A"; APPROPRIATING $11,765 OUT OF THE NO. 291 PARK BOND
FUND FOR PROJECT NO. 291-77-5.3, MARINA L -HEAD ADDITIONAL
SLIPS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to execute Change Order No. 3 to the contract with Goldston Corporation for
construction of additional boat slips at the Corpus Christi Marina to provide
for additional electrical and lighting work, all as more fully set forth in
the change order, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 291
Park Bond Fund the sum of 511,765 for Project No. 291-77-5.3, Marina L -Head
Additional Slips.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by executing the change
and appropriating of sums necessary therefor, such finding of an
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
order aforesaid

Why was thischangenecessary? (If left off the plans and Specifications, explain why.)
Central Power & Light has recently donated this circuit to the City. This work is necessary
to make the circuit usable and allow for individual metering for each slip. The area light -
will illuminate an area which has a large volumeofpedestrian traffic.
Row can siMilar changes be avoided in'the future?

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM RENOVATIONS
PEOPLES STREET T -HEAD
GENERAL NOTES
1. Power Supply to Slips
A. Al]. phases of the installation shall conform to the requirements of the
City Electrical Code.
B. New conduit and wiring between Slips 38-39 and 40-41 shall match existing.
Wiring in existing circuit consists of 3-4/0 RHW copper conductor and
1-4/0 RHW copper neutral.
C. Relocate existing meter stand at Slip 48 so that the south edge of the
meter stand is 1'0" north of the north face of piling for pier.

D. Sidewalk being removed for installation of conduit'or relocation of meter
stand shall be saw cut to a minimum depth of 1 inch. Concrete for replace-
ment of sidewalk shall be Class "B", 2,500 psi.
E. The installation of the 1-1/2 inch conduit from the master meter to the
transformer shall be coordinated as to location with Central Power and
Light. CP&L shall install the wiring from the master meter to the trans-
former and provide the meter.
F. All new meter boxes and junction boxes shall be of the same design and
configuration as those existing.
G. The existing meter at Slip 49 shall be returned to CP&L. The contractor
shall supply and install new meters for each slip. Meters shall be
compatible with meter boxes and shall be equipped with a tamperproof
sealing ring.
H. Power centers shall be Hubbell Model No. C.C. 80 LF or an approved equal.
Power centers shall be equipped with 30 amp circuit breakers. Each
outlet shall be individually metered. Wiring from meter to outlet shall
be 46 THW copper conductor.
I. The power centers specified include locking devices. The Contractor shall
provide three keys for each locking device and a master key which will
operate all locking devices.
Area Lighting
The contractor shall install new area lights in the grass is/and between the
parking.lot and circumferential roadway south of the transformer pad (see plan
for location). The concrete base shall be as detailed on the plans. Anchor
bolts shall be 1" diameter x• 36" long with a 5" hook and shall be galvanized.
The anchor bolt spacing and template shall match the pole bolt hole pattern.
The pole shall be Model No. 0C-2-27 with a 3 inch Tenon Top as manufactured.

. lights) shall be Model No. G1\LR-4-MHP-2-PC-ML2590 asmanufactured by Crouse
Hinds Company or an approved equal. The mounting bracket shall be Model 101-A23
galvanized as manufactured by Crouse Hinds Company or an approved equal. Wiring
• shall be 46 THW copper conductor.
