AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $18,488.90 FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION
EQUIPMENT FOR INTERSECTION OF OCEAN DRIVE AND
ELIZABETH STREET; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220
Street Bond Fund the sum of $18,488.90 for the purchase of traffic signaliza-
tion equipment at the Ocean Drive/Elizabeth Street Intersection applicable
to Project No. 220-77-20.4, Ocean Drive/Elizabeth Street Intersection
Signal ization.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by appropriating the sums above
described in order that signalization may be completed as soon as possible
on the major thoroughfare, such finding of an emergency is made and declared
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances and resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed a #
