AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION OF A JIB CRANE AT THE TRANSIT
MAINTENANCE GAVAGE; AND 51,700 FOR THE SAID INSTALLA-
TION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
.SECTION 1. That authority is hereby given for the installation of
a 4,000-1b. capacity Jib Crane at the Transit Maintenance Garage at a cost of
$1,700. Said Jib Crane having been purchased under the Urban Mass Transportation
Project Grant No. TX -03-0020.
SECTION 2. Tat there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 218
Transit Bond Fund for Project 218-72.2, Transit Capital Improvements (1975), the
amount of $1,700 for the said Jib Crane installation.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, t find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by installation of aforesaid crane
and appropriation of sums necessary therefor, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requirir suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration
and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that
this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the /7 day of March, 1982.
