CLOSING A 20 -FOOT ALLEY IN BLOCK 69, BROOKLYN ADDITION,
SUBJECT TO ABUTTING OWNER ARRANGING WITH CENTRAL POWER
& LIGHT COMPANY TO RELOCATE THE EXISTING OVERHEAD POWER
LINE AT APPLICANT'S EXPENSE; ACCEPTING A GIFT OF 5,138
SQUARE FEET OF LAND FROM DONALD E. HANNA, ET UX, OUT OF
LOTS 1, 3, 5, 7 AND 9, BLOCK 69, BROOKLYN ADDITION,
ABUTTING TIMON BOULEVARD; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That a 20 -foot wide alley in Block 69, Brooklyn
Addition, as shown on a map filed in the Map Records of Nueces County,
Texas, in Volume A, Pages 30, 31, and 32 be closed and abandoned subject
to abutting owner arranging with Central Power and Light Company to relocate
the existing overhead power line at applicant's expense.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
a gift of 5,138 square feet of land from Donald E. Hanna and wife, Norma
Hanna, described as portions of Lots 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9, Block 69, Brooklyn
Addition of the east side of Timon Boulevard, as further described in the
attached gift deed marked_Exhibit "A", establishing the value of such
gift at $4.00 per square foot for a total value of $20,552,00.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need
for efficient administration of City affairs by abandoning the aforesaid
alley, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspen-
sion of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or
resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and
shall take ffect upon first reading as an emergency measure this .3/

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
Donald E. Hanna and wife, Norma Hanna,
of Nueces County, Texas, as a charitable contribution to a
governmental unit for public purposes, have given and trans-
ferred, and by these presents do hereby give and transfer un-
to the City of Corpus Christi, a municipal corporation duly
incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas, the surface
of the following described tract or parcel of land, situated
in Nueces County, Texas, to -wit:
Being fractional Lots one (1), three (3),
five (5), seven (7) and nine (9), said
portion of lots being east of Timon Blvd.
in Block sixty-nine (69), Brooklyn
Addition, an addition to the City of
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, ac-
cording to map or plat recorded in Volume
A, Page 32, Map Records of Nueces County,
Texas.

A map of which is marked "Exhibit A" and attached hereto and
made a part hereof for all purposes.
For the purpose of constructing streets, sidewalks, curbs and
gutters upon said tract for the use of the public by foot, or
by automobile and other vehicular means of transportation,
and constructing underground city water, sewer, drainage and
gas distribution lines as needed; or for other public pur-
poses.
This conveyance is being made. and accepted subject to all
restrictions and easements of record, if any, in Nueces
County, Texas, affecting the above described property.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same as the property of the City of
Corpus Christi to be used exclusively for public purposes.
