AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION
53-257, SCHEDULE VIII, PARKING METER ZONES; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERANCE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1. That Section 53-257, Schedule VIII, of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, 1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby
amended as follows:
AMEND (a) Meter Zone No. I, Item (1) to read as follows:
( 1) Antelope Street - North Artesian Street to North Tancahua Street,
except that portion described in Subsection (e), Meter Zone No. 5.
AMEND (a) Meter Zone No. 1, Item (3) to read as follows:
( 3) Buffalo Street..- North Artesian Street to North Tancahua Street.
AMEND (a) Meter Zone No. 1, Item (13) to read as follows:
(13) Peoples Street - (North side only) --Water Street to So. Shoreline Blvd.
AMEND (a) Meter Zone No. 1, Item (15) to read as follows:
(15) Taylor Street - (both sides) --Lower Broadway to Water Street, except
that portion described in Subsection (c), Meter Zone No. 3.
ADD to (a) Meter Zone No. 1, the following:
(23) Carrizo Street - (both sides) --From the north cul-de-sac (north of
Buffalo Street) to Leopard Street.
AMEND (c) Meter Zone No. 3, Item (15) to read as follows:
(15) Schatzel Street - (both sides) --Water Street to So. Shoreline Blvd.
ADD to (c) Meter Zone No. 3, the following:
(26) Artesian Street - (both sides) --south one-half'of block '
(27) South Shoreline Blvd. - (west side only) --Peoples Street to Schatzel St.
(28) Schatzel Street - (north side of street median) --South Shoreline Blvd.
to Water Street.
(29) Taylor Street - (north side only) --east one-half of block from
Chaparral Street to Mesquite Street.
ADD to (e) Meter Zone No. 5, the following: •
( 5) Antelope Street - (south side only) --east one-half of block, from'
North Carrizo Street to North Artesian Street.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. If for,any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall
not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council
that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision
hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.

SECTION 4. The provisions hereinabove set forth shall become
effective from and after installations of meters with meter zone designations
at the respective locations.
