HomeMy WebLinkAbout16976 ORD - 03/31/1982TEXAS: Article Certain AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SECTION 53-177 IN CHAPTER 53, ARTICLE V, OF THE CITY CODE ENTITLED LOAD RESTRICTION SIGNS FOR VEHICLES USING CERTAIN STREETS AND ESTABLISHING SECTION 53-258, SCHEDULE IX, IN CHAPTER 53, ARTICLE V, OF THE CITY CODE ENTITLED LOAD RESTRICTIONS UPON VEHICLES USING CERTAIN STREETS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Section 53-177 be established in Chapter 53, V, of the City Code to read as follows: Section 53-177 - Load Restriction Signs for Vehicles Using Streets: Chapter Using When Signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall operate any vehicle with a gross weight in excess of the amounts specified in Section 43-258, Schedule IX, at any time upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Section 53-258, Schedule IX, provided, however, that this section shall not apply to vehicles making deliveries of farm products to destinations requiring travel over such streets. SECTION 2. That Section 53-258, Schedule IX, be established 53, Article VIII, of the City Code to read as follows: Section 53-258, SChedule IX; Load Restrictions Upon Vehicles Certain Streets: .in In accordance with Section 53-177 and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall operate any vehicle with a gross weight in excess -of the amounts specified herein at any time upon any of the following streets or parts of streets: (a) 18,000 pound limit 1. Bockholt Road, from the City limits to Agnes Street (S.H. 44) 2.
