HomeMy WebLinkAbout16986 ORD - 04/07/1982AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE TWO -TON FORK LIFT, APPROPRIATING $15,740 OUT OF THE NO. 218 TRANSIT BOND FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • ,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF,CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby given, subject to approval by the Urban Mass Transportation Administration, for the purchase of one two -ton forklift from Forklifts Unlimited of Corpus Christi, $15,740 was provided for in the 1976 UMTA Capital Grant Project No. TX -05-0014. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 218 Transit Bond Fund for Project No. 218-72-3, Transit System Capital Improvements (1976), the amount of $15,740 for the purchase of said forklift: SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency.due to the need for expediting the purchase of one forklift, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule. as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed an shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of April, 1982.
