AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE 1981-82 BUDGET, AS AMENDED BY
AMENDING THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the 1981-82 Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 16428,
passed July 29, 1981, as amended, be amended as follows;
1. Amend the General Fund Budget by increasing the Coliseum/
Exposition Nall (activity number 255-513.29) budget by $94,030 to cover
expenses associated with the City assuming responsibility for the concession
function for the remainder of the fiscal year.
2. Amend the General Fund Revenues for Coliseum and Exposition
Hall Concessions by increasing the budgeted revenue by $94,030.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by amending the General Fund Budget
as aforementioned, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed
and sh 11 take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the
1,7 day of April, 1982.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it 'IS'
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
