HomeMy WebLinkAbout17004 ORD - 04/28/1982AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1900 FOR THE CITY'S SHARE OF ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR LAREDO AND AGNES STREETS, PORT AVENUE TO CHAPARRAL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,900 out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund for the City's share of additional costs as determined by bid receipt by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation applicable to Project No. 220-77-61, Laredo and Agnes Streets, Port Avenue to Chaparral. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the construction of public improvements and providing the sums necessary therefor, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of April, 1982.
