HomeMy WebLinkAbout17007 ORD - 04/28/1982AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF SIGNALIZATION EQUIPMENT FOR THE OCEAN DRIVE/ELIZABETH DRIVE INTERSECTION AND APPROPRIATING $6,414 THEREFOR; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby given for purchase of four pole and mast arm assemblies from Signal Engineering Company of Corpus Christi for the signalization of the Ocean Drive/Elizabeth Drive intersection. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $6,414 out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund for the purchase of the aforesaid equip- ment applicable to ProjeceNo. 220-77-20.4 Ocean Drive/Elizabeth Drive Street Intersection Signalization. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need to purchase necessary equipment to preserve and protect public property, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the .21 day of April, 1982.
