BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO THE NORTH 200 FEET OF LOT 6, LYLE SUBDIVISION FROM 4-16" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT AND "6-1" NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "6-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of KUNO RADIO, INC. for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider.the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public:said public hearing having been held on April 28, 1982, at Regular Council Meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and ' WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried; it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:_ SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning of the north 200 feet of Lot 6, Lyle Subdivision, more fully described hereinafter, be and the same is _ hereby changed from "R-16" One -family Dwelling District and "'6-1" -- Neighborhood Business District to "6-4" General Business District, said parcel or tract being described as follows: All of Lot 6, Lyle Subdivision of Lots 1 and 2, Section E, of the Paisley Subdivision of the Hoffman Tract, as shown by map recorded in Volume 1, Page 58, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, SAVE AND EXCEPT those portions conveyed to the City of Corpus Christi by Deed recorded in Volume 270, Page 621, Volume 278, Page 583 and Volume 1455, Page 357, all in the Deed Records of said county, being described as follows: BEGINNING at a 5/8 -inch iron rod found at the south- west corner of said Lot 6, for the southwest corner and POINT OF BEGINNING of this tract;' vitaaktitEl) 1.7013 SEP 2 8. Ppm 14-v THENCE, along the west line of said Lot, N 00 51' 00" E, 450.78 feet to a 5/8 -inch iron rod found on the southerly right-of-way of Horne Road, for the north- west corner of this tract; THENCE, along said right-of-way, N 89° 50 50" E, 332.47 feet to a 5/8 -inch iron rod set at a point of curve; THENCE, continuing along said right-of-way, along a curve concave to the south, having a radius of 460.00 feet and a central angle of 15° 46' 58", an arc distance of 126.71 feet to a 5/8 -inch iron rod set on the east line of said Lot 6, for the northeast corner of4his tract; THENCE; along said east line, S 29° 27' 00" W, 606.71 feet to a '5/8 -inch iron rod found at the southeast corner of said Lot 6,for the southeast corner of this tract; THENCE, along the south line of said Lot 6, N 60° 33' 00" W. 190.65 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 3.771 acres, more or less. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Mapof the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the immediate and equitable institution of zoning changes to promote the health, safety and economic development of the City,such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of- , the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolu- tions atthree regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall tak ffect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day AL, 1982.
