BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO
A O 94 ACRF TRACT nin OF THF NHFCFS RTVFR TRRTGATTON PARK
AN1FY NO 1
FROM "R -1R" ONF-FAMTIY DUFfITMG DISTRICT
TO "R-4" GFNFRAI RHSTNFSS DISTRICT
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council
its reports and recommendations concerning the application of
Glenn W. Taylor for amendment
to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi;
WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons
wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the

City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice
to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday
May 12, 1982
, at Regular Council meeting of
the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus
Christi; and
WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided
by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would
best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare
of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out.
SECTION 2. That the hereinafter described tract or parcel of
land, described a portion of Mueces River Irrigation Park Annex No. 1,
situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be and the
same is hereby rezoned from "R-16" One -family Dwelling District to "6-4"
General Business District:

METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION FOR 0.94 ACR L TRACT OUT OF ANNEX NO. 1,
NUECES RIVER IRRIGATION PARK, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS.
Being a tract of land situated in Nueces County, Texas, North of
F. M. Road No. 624, containing 0.94 acre, more or less, out of Annex No.
1, Nueces River Irrigation Park, as shown on map of record in Volume "A",
Page 55 of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, also being a portion
of a 37 acre tract described in deed of record in Volume 322, Page 416 and
in Volume 541, Page 495 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, and
being more particularly described by metes and bounds as.follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point in the present northerly boundary line of the
right-of-way of F. M. Road No. 624, whence the intersection of the original
center line of F. M. Road No. 624 and the present center line of Main Canal
(as'measured March 10, 1979), bears S 09°-57' E, a distance of 120.3 feet
and S 84°-09' E, a distance of 484.5 feet, for the SE'corner of this tract
and the point of beginning;
THENCE N 09°-57' E, a distance of 200.5 Feet to a point for the NE corner
of this tract; '
THENCE N 84°-09 W, parallel to northerly boundary line (present) of the
right-of-way of F. M. Road No. 624, a distance of 205.2 feet to a point .
for the NW corner of this tratt;
THENCE S 09°-57' W, a distance of 200.5 feet to a point in the present
northerly boundary line of the right-of-way of F. M. Road No. 624, for
the SW corner of this tract;
THENCE S 84°-09' E, along the present northerly boundary line of the
right-of-way of F. M. Road No. 624, a distance of 205.2 feet to the point
of beginning, and containing 0.94 acre of land, more or less.
SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained.
SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from
time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning
change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and
shall take ef ect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the AZ,

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance or resolution,
an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings; 1/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
