SALAZAR BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO 4.53 ACRE TRACT OUT OF THE EAST 1/2 OF LOT 3, BLOCK 2, NUECES RIVER IRRIGATION PARK FROM "R-16" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Ismael C. Salazar for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; . WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday June 2, 1982, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, -THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning of the hereinafter more fully described 4.53 -acre tract out of the east one-half of Lot 3, Block 2, Nueces River Irrigation Park, be changed from "R -1B" One Family Dwelling District to "8-4" General Business District, said tract being described as follows: Being a tract of land situated in Nueces County, Texas South of F. M. Road No. 624, containing 4.53 acres, more or less, out of the northerly portion of the East 1/2 of Lot 3, Block 2 of Nueces River Irrigation Park as shown on map of record in Volume A, Page 54 of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas and as described in deed of record in Volume 1586, Page 14 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit: 17068 Sp28 19a4 MICROFILMED Beginning at the NE corner of said Lot 3, Block 2, Nueces River Irrigation Park, for the NE corner of this tract and the point of beginning, also being the NW corner of Lot 2, Block 2, said Nueces River Irrigation Park; THENCE S 10°-00' W, along the common line between said Lot 2 and Lot 3, Block 2, Nueces River Irriga- tion Park, a distance of 350.92 feet to a point for the SE corner of this tract; THENCE N 84°-09' W a distance of 563.45 feet to a point for the SW corner of this tract; THENCE N 10'-00 E, parallel to the easterly boundary line of said Lot 3, Block 2, Nueces River Irrigation Park, a distance of 350.92 feet to a point for the NW corner of this tract; THENCE S 84* -09' E; along the northerly boundary line of said Lot 3, Block 2, Nueces River Irrigation Park, a distance of 563.45 feet to the point of beginning, and containing 4.53 acres of land, more or less. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is -made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 2nd day of June, 1982.
